EEC Mango Project
Potential Development for Creative Entrepreneurs and Personnel
to Support the Development of Eastern Economic Corridor
Mango is considered an economic fruit crop of Chachoengsao Province. This province is one of the top mango producers of Thailand. Golden Nam Dok Mai Mango is an agricultural product that has been approved and received Geographical Indication (GI) and in high demand. Mangos from Chachoengsao have unique characteristics and great health, i.e., smooth yellow peel, luscious and fragrant taste, soft flesh, and disease and pest free. In addition, Chachoengsao also has a cultivation system that is in accordance with GAP (Good Agricultural Practices). Soil in this area is silty clay with low salinity and rich in minerals, a perfect condition for growing mango.
Creative Economy Agency (Public Organization) or CEA sees the potential of mango cultivation in Chachoengsao. Therefore, we have come up with “EEC Mango Project: Potential Development for Creative Entrepreneurs and Personnel to Support the Development of Eastern Economic Corridor” to drive Thailand’s creative economy to be an essential mechanism for developing the economic system of mango growers and other related careers in Chachoengsao. This project operates in three aspects: Creative People, Creative Business, and Creative Place, to add value to Thai mango by creating original products that correspond with the ecosystem of mango and to turn these agricultural products into creative commercial products of Chachoengsao. This project will take place from January to February 2022.
