Creative Career 2020 : The Future of Jobs
CEA recognizes the importance of assisting entrepreneurs in the early stage of forming their businesses, especially the young creative entrepreneurs, as it could build an important foundation for the sustainable development of creative businesses in Thailand. CEA also prioritizes nurturing Thai youths to become capable creators who will be the driving force of the national economy in the future. With these in mind, CEA developed courses and activities to build knowledge and understanding from the basic level. Students were encouraged to apply their knowledge to become young creative entrepreneurs by creating products and starting their businesses online in the Creative Career project, held for the second consecutive year. The following activities were conducted.
1. “The Future of Jobs” body of knowledge was created
This covers the skills in high demand globally in 2020 for jobs in the creative industry: complex problem solving, critical thinking, and creativity. The knowledge is packaged into online lessons for young people interested in becoming a new generation of creative entrepreneurs. Courses and activities in design and creative business were developed to strengthen the fundamental knowledge and nurture Thai youths. Through various activities of the incubation program, students were made aware of the importance of creativity and how to apply creative thinking in their study, higher education, and future career.
