Pakk Taii Design Week 2024 (PTDW2024), the South's annual creative festival organized by the Creative Economy Agency (Public Organization) or CEA, serves as a platform to promote the creative ecosystem by highlighting and building upon the unique cultural identity of the South through creativity. It supports and promotes the potential of creative individuals from various industries in collaboration with city-driving networks, with local people at the forefront. The festival aims to enhance the city's image, make the creative economy more accessible and tangible, and ultimately improve the quality of life. Additionally, it seeks to create job opportunities, promote business income, and increase competitiveness.
Being held for the second time, PTDW2024 is scheduled to happen between 17 - 25 August 2024 in Songkhla, in collaboration with networks in 14 southern provinces. The festival's theme is "The South’s Turn," focusing on promoting the region's outstanding creative industries through gastronomy, film, art & crafts, and district projects. It will bring together creative individuals and city-driving networks from across the South, including creators, entrepreneurs, educational institutes, and local people, to work together to make the South attractive for living, investment, and travel.
With a growing number of young people returning to their hometowns from bustling metropolises, a movement of creative professionals from various industries has emerged, coming and gathering together.
